Wings Yet to Be Received

Déjà Vu

Let fate decide when we receive our wings

You’ve got me in déjà vu

Having me confused

Whether or not I have met you

Perhaps in a past life I did

Or maybe you just remind me

of people who have drifted

From arms reach

I have not a clue where they could be

Though we did have history

Your features such as that grin you give

Has me taking two steps back to a time

that’s been forgotten

In my subconscious

Where I repress the feelings of sadness

Confronting myself of what’s no longer here

We just happened to be two cars

colliding into each other

Crashing into forming a

bond with no expiry date

I’ll forever be in your

heart you’ll forever be in mine

It’s safe to say there will be better day

I’m scared to mention one of these days

The two of us unknowingly

will be stripped of this life

But until then I’m holding you close

don’t assume I’ll let you go

I’ve got you for life until we spread our wings

and ascend up into heaven.

There we are reborn.
