Window Pane

Escape into eternity.

Remember the time way back when?

No?

Let's take a trip down memory lane.

Looking through the window pane.

The taste was bitter, but the illusions were sweet.

The blurred lines and intricate designs swept across our feet.

Dipped in the sand I read the master plan.

Written in the stones we saw the promised land.

No way of travel, we dreamed we made it

But fell apart in reprimand.

Remember when the voices said we weren't gonna make it?

How much longer could we take it?

12 hours felt like 12 years.

My ego dropped and the waves came in fear.

I drowned in a sea of realization

And only the sounds of nature could bring me

back into the clear.

I heard the colors and saw the music, and when I came to my senses, I felt the deprivation.

I wanted to go back down the rabbit hole.

To learn there was so much more.

It brought me back to the core.

Connecting with the universe left reality feeling sore.

Then the bombs dropped... And we all started running...

I was left behind...

I must accept the fact that everything is one.

Why is it so hard?

Don't give up now, I'm being chased across the yard... Where the hell am I?

BAM!

There's a door... I can't get in, it's locked...

I knocked with my head, unaware of the pain, I bled.

Shit, now I'm dead...

Oh, so that's how you escape to your conscious.

I've learned!! I've accepted!! I confess!! I will contest!! Never more, I'm laying on my chest breathing in silence... Why did everything have to be so violent?

Now it's dark, a beautiful nothing.

It's too late. You've all destroyed the garden of Eden that was blessed upon your souls.

The earth is filled with nothing but hate. Not enough love to fill a clean slate.

Now you'll be faced in hell upon the tolls.

Oh you have no payment?

Well then you'll have to be crushed within the pavement.

Now there's nothing left, no more tears to be wept.

The secrets were kept, but learned through each passing step...

We fought our mother, she told us not to pollute and we could be granted eternal life from one to another.

Yet nobody listened... Now you'll be missin'

The time we could've had, but now it's gone and honestly I'm kinda glad. No more pain to be to be caused, no more rain to drown our flaws.

The closure comes within you, now there's nothing we can do.

The end of our lives are coming soon...

So aim for the stars, I'm packing my bags and shootin' for the moon.
