Will the Light Return? (Part 1)

Part 1

Though the sun shines bright

The darkness reigns

It can't be stopped

All you can do is wait

For the darkness to grow bored

Though there is a rainbow

The storm rages on

It is frightening

But all you can do is wait

For the rain to turn to drizzle

Though morning has come

The fog remains thick

There is no escape from it

All you can do is wait

For the fog to dissipate

Though all you want is for the light to return

It may be a while

See, the light is on vacation

Leaving you with the darkness, the rain and the fog

For this you hate the light

But you also know that without it

The darkness will never grow bored

The rain won't turn to drizzle

The fog won't dissipate

Without the light

The sun will die out

There may not be a rainbow for long

And the morning will become lonely

But all you can do is wait

For the light to come back to work

But it can't be rushed or it won't do a good job

So you wait and wait and wait
