Wildflower

Who do you surround yourself with?

I'm a wildflower growing among the weeds.

They choke me with their snares, I'm left heaving for air.

I see the field in the distance. The valley of extravagant colors, swaying in the wind. I hear their songs, the melody is light with laughter and freedom. The field of wildflowers, where I belong.

The weeds have been my companions for so long, they always drag me back. Loneliness would be my only company as I find my way to the open air.

So, I must decide, do I stay among the weeds? Or do I dance with the wildflowers?
