Why?

A young boy was born,

He was beautiful,

His parents were filled with happiness at his arrival,

He lived happily up until the age of 14,

He wrote a poem called "Dad,"

because that was what it was about,

His instructor gave him an "A,"

His mom hung it on the wall,

But one day he went to his mom,

He revealed who he was to her,

He was gay,

His mom screamed obscenities at him,

His dad hit him,

Beat him to a bloody pulp,

He was cast like trash out the front door,

As he found himself picking up his possessions,

He saw mother burn his poem,

His heart shattered,

It was on that day he died,

It took nothing more than one flame,

He got a hold of a gun,

He could no longer handle street life,

His life had already ended in his eyes,

The trigger was pulled,

Nothing to change now.
