Whole Soul

A Poem on Soulmates

A melodic meeting; a familiarity of souls

Two individuals never met and yet

A likeness uncanny

One friend who linked, who found

A whole soul split in

Two.

A text that cemented the truth

One sentence exactly the same

A joke about necromancy

Two separate conversations

A moment that unified as

One.

A thought of The Symposium

Two who were attached with

A double face, a completed core.

One hamartia that ripped apart

A woven essence, a breaking into

Two.

A hesitation in discovery

One word to encompass all

A moment of exact clarity

Two people filling a hole

A juncture of two who are as

One.
