Who Are We?

We Are Only Human, But

By Jude Marie AugustinePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Sometimes I say that I'm not human but my DNA says otherwise.

Who are we as a whole?

Can we be complete as one

or must we divide ourselves?

Into races and religions,

that attack others for their,

differences.

Social classes that separate

the smart, the pretty, the rich.

From the unique,

From the weird,

From the poor.

But why?

Is being different

something contagious?

Or will it just ruin

your ideal society?

Are we all

not just human.

With blood that runs

through our veins.

It pumps from a heart

that we all have.

Who are we to choose,

what a person could be,

or who a person is.

We each strive to live

every day on a planet

that we should be sharing.

In a world built on

mistakes made

throughout the years.

Will we ever get it right?

Or will we continue

to follow the steps

in the past.

Believing that the

outcome will change

for us.

We are human.

Built to learn,

built to grow

to expand our minds

and share to our stories.

so that we are not

lost in the past mistakes.
