Whisper

"Let go!"

I hear soft crying,

as I am resting in bed.

I can’t seem to open my eyes.

The sound of the crying fades away

as I hear a gentle whisper say

“You’re dying.”

In that eternal moment

I feel the sense of weightlessness

I open my eyes to

My beloved smiling at me

I reach out my hand

but she just fades away with my touch.

I see our children playing in the park

I call out to them

But their laughing faces fade away too.

And I think to myself

What a strange dream,

orbs of lights start to reveal me as a child

Playing in a field of flowers

I call out to the child

The child just turns around and says giggling

“Let go”

The child fades away as the words linger in the wind.

I sense a warm gush of wind touch my face

as it gently swoops me up and lets me fall

I see myself falling into a darkness

But I felt no fear of the non-ending darkness

The falling seems to slow down and

From a distance, I can see a light begin to form,

changing in all types of stunning colors.

I was like a moth attracted to the light.

I felt true bliss in the beauty of the surrounding light

But the light began to become brighter

I could no longer stare into the light.

The moment I closed my eyes

I felt the warm wind push me yet again

I can see another flash of bright light, through my closed eyes.

I felt so light headed

It was hard for me to open my eyes.

As I regain my sight

I can see a man and a woman with warm smiling faces

Looking down at me

I felt so protected and loved

My past was now a faded memory

The man picks me up with such compassion

And lays me softly down

I hear the gentle whisper in my ear

“You’re reborn. Just Be.”
