Whisper

If you listen closely you can hear.

It happened a week ago

Alone in the room just on the laptop

Doing homework as usual

When I could've sworn I heard my name being said

Shaking the thought

It could've been from down the hall

At least that's what I wanted to believe

Hours went by and I heard the whisper

My name in a low husky voice

Yet as I looked up from the laptop I didn't see anything

It was night time by now

Most people asleep

So I couldn't figure out why I kept hearing my name

Maybe I was going insane

Or maybe it was a ghost

Laughing the thought off

When the night was surprisingly peaceful

On edge by noon

The whisper won't stop

It's getting closer to me

Fear has sent it

My body getting chills whenever I hear my name being whispered

Being with others that's when I feel safe

Yet the whisper is still there

Being stalked by something

It's been a week now

Things got silent

Too silent

A day went by and I forgot all about the whisper

That was until that night

Laying in bed half asleep

When I hear not my name

What I hear is turn around

I haven't slept the same since then

The whisper is always around
