Whiskey

Based on a True Story

He drowns his pain in whiskey

His tears don't make a sound

She says I can help if you let me

He says there is no way out

Cause he's used to riding the rails on his own

Always chasing the end of a rainbow

But he's tasted love

Now he's wasted on

The opinions of everyone else

There are things that change a man

He says you don't understand

Written in a scribbled letter he told her

You deserve better, you deserve better

Cause he's used to riding the rails on his own

Always chasing the end of a rainbow

But he's tasted love

Now he's wasted on

The opinions of everyone else

He doesn't give himself away

Holds back for his sanity

Because he's lost it all at once

So he fell in love with distance

Cause he's used to riding the rails on his own

Always chasing the end of the rainbow

But he's tasted love

Now he's wasted on

The opinions of everyone elseHe drowns his pain in Whiskey
