Sixteen hours of sun staring me in the face,
Sounds chirping in head, hoping for some grace.
Thoughts of you come flashing as a boomerang,
Fighting the memories, louder I sang.
Got the goodbye kiss engraved like a tattoo on my soul.
Give it back to me, oh, make me whole.
Learnt the hard way to keep it all together.
Smiling through the eyes, chilling to the bones, even in this warm weather.
I say, let's play the gamble, and take a chance,
For this life, we get only once.
Rolling the dice, building a happier now,
Stars will light the path, don't have to write the vows.
Sun could shine for long, or the moon would light up the night sky,
The hazel gleam in your eyes is all I wish to be by.
Never want to let that spark go amiss,
Oh, keep me where the divine light is...
