Where I stand my feet cannot move,
They are bounded to the floor as an anchor.
Where I stand I have thought of many things,
What have I done? What’s wrong with me? Who am I?
Where I stand I hear my mother banging on the door,
Baby Are you okay? Can you hear me? Can I come in?
Where I stand my soles have touched before,
Engraving these tiles into my skin.
Where I stand my mind has haunted me,
Of disappointment, anger, and misfortune.
Where I stand I watch my floors turn red,
And my body in slumber.
Where I stand my feet cannot move
Where I stand is where my life will end.
