Personal image taken during my trip to Ireland. If you are the person I accidentally photographed in this image: Thank you for making my photo even more perfect.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” They ask.

A rockstar. A princess. A pirate. The president.

Adults hiding behind cleverly construed masks.

Children with lofty dreams and daunting tasks.

“You can be anything you put your mind to.” They say.

A dancer. An author. A lawyer. A doctor.

Adolescents trying to learn their own way.

Parents currently keeping their tongues at bay.

“The day has come and you must decide!” They insist.

A banker. A nurse. A teacher. A cashier.

Young adults afraid with no power to resist.

Always striving to please the parents who persist.
