When Someone You Love Is Alive But They Still Aren't With You

A mother who became lost.

You're gone,

Not in body but in spirit.

You're gone,

The person of the past will never resurrect,

You've forgotten everything, respect.

You're gone.

Happiness seeped out like blood from a bullet wound,

You've wrapped yourself in a cocoon,

Indefinitely accepting your doom.

You're gone.

You're reasoning for choices is amusing,

You're perspective has become confusing

You're gone.

It's not who you will be but who you were,

Life is continuing, while you stay in a blur,

You're gone.

Broken hearts, tears stream down rosey cheeks, emotions drained,

You're gone.

Blood shot eyes, mascara smeared.

You've become one of your biggest fears.

You're gone.

Aroma of Tommy Girl, Hairspray, hint of a cigarette,

Cloud my brain, a memory, I could never forget.

You're gone.

Warm embrace, momma is here,

Bond of love, can never be broken,

Memory in my head, your soft words spoken,

You're gone.

Come back, oh come back,

The person I once knew, one life is all you have, you don't have to lose.

You're gone.

Time cannot be restored, it cannot be bought,

Once it's gone, you'll never get it back.

You're gone.

You lack the love for yourself, the vision to see, the truth that you are important if not to anyone else but to me.

You're gone.

My heart is in a million pieces, I have no glue,

The heartbreak can only be fixed by you.

I'm broken.

You were my rock, my sunshine on a cloudy day,

Now I've lost you, itll never matter what I say.

I'm broken.

The emotions running through my heart, each and every vein,

My body is full of nothing, nothing but pain.

I'm broken.

The soft familiar voice I heart as a child, now gone.

You leaving me is the worst thing that could've gone wrong.

I'm broken.

I feel the faint bond we used to share, not having you in my life just isn't fair.

I'm broken.

Why leave now? why run away?

Was there something I could've done, something I didn't say?

I'm broken.

You are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when sky's are grey,

You'll never know dear how much I love you, momma why did you take my sunshine away?
