When She Came Into this World

A Poem About Her

She came into this world like a thunderstorm,

purposeful and bold.

She came into this world like the sun that shines in the sky,

glistening and glowing and shining on all she sees.

She came into this world like a butterfly,

fragile and bold, her uniqueness captivating.

She came into this world like the sea,

peaceful and kind, yet fiercely relentless, powerful like the wind.

She came into this world like a flood,

destroying all she may touch, apologetically relentless.

She came into this world like the seed of a willow tree,

bursting with opportunity, willing to grow.

She came into this world like the flowers that grow in Spring,

beautiful and bright, but destined to wilt and fade away.

She left this world as she came into it,

unapologetically herself,

intelligent, powerful and pure.
