Kid Vs. Now

Picture From

When i was a kid, Red was the color of love.

But now it seems to be the color of blood.

When i was a kid, i was unaware about most things.

Running around without any fear was my thing.

When i was a kid, i had the best time of my life.

But now the business takes most of my life.

When i was a kid, i believed fairy tales to be true.

But now i make my children to believe them to be so.

When i was a kid, performing well would give me praises.

But now performing well gives me hatred.

When i was a kid, i thought it was a perfect world.

But now i feel it to be a cruel, cruel world.

When i was a kid, i was free from all the lies.

But now i seem to swim in all the crimes.

When i was a kid, i wondered why time flies.

But now i wonder why can time not fly.

When i was a kid, i wanted to be a rich person.

But today i just want to be a happy person.

When i was a kid, i wanted to grow up soon.

But now i want to be a kid at noon.

When i was a kid, i wanted to live forever.

But now things make me want to fade forever.
