When a Free Market Arises

What do you think of private schools?

Can she learn in the relative safety of a private institution?

What massacres can

You point to that have

Occurred at private

Schools, that have stolen

The lives of decent

Students, teachers, and

Others? So you say

That parochial

Schools have prayer? How

Can requests to God

Be of any use

To the injured or

The killed? Gun control

Is often cited

In ceasing these acts.

These are the fruits not

The roots of scourges

Like these. Government

Schools provide little

In the way of thought.

Brought in like chattel,

Pupils encounter

The horrors of school

In the public realm.

Before even one

Shot is fired or

An explosive bursts,

They find themselves in

A vicious cycle

Of conformity

And altruism.

Rebellions in the

Form of bloodletting

Only typify

The carnage that is

Done to their brains. The

Case for private schools

Extends beyond kills

And wounds. The menace

Is the notion that

The State ought to care

For the minds of youths.

Only when a free

Market arises

In the form of schools

Made privatized, then

We can see more life.
