With you giving her head kisses every few minutes between conversation topics,

Acting like she doesn't want to be the one you hold onto late at night...

As if she doesn't want to be the first one you run to to tell your good news

Or the one you vent to after a stressful day

Or the one you cry to when it's overwhelming

She has to act like it doesn't matter...

Has to be strong

Because she caused this...

She has to act like it's all okay...

Because now she's mentally destroyed...

Because she couldn't make the right choice quick enough...

Knowing that he was offering her love where she was free to be herself
