What's Left of Us

A Poem

Sometimes I just lay on my floor and simply listen to the quiet of the night.

I’ve always been a night owl. I find beauty in dark things.

Maybe that’s why I found you so astonishing, you unleashed a beautiful darkness in me.

Like a drug I was addicted to you and the way you kept me up at night.

But now she’s the one satisfying your needs.

And she’s left with the debris,

Of the remainders of us left on the tip your tongue.

I hope she enjoys the addiction.

Because now I’m being swallowed by your beautiful darkness

It’s fucking killing me now

And I don’t know how to move on

You ruined the most beautiful things for me

And now you're giving them all to her.
