What is Movement?

The question comes to me with no answer attached

Then, I see it clearly, and I have to laugh

It’s so obvious, so bright, so right in my face

There’s no other answer

My heart starts to race

Movement is everything and nothing is not

Burning, burning, all is burning

The Buddha did say it

Well, I think it was him, and he’s right

All is burning away no matter how much we fight

We strain, and we grunt, and we scream out it’s name

Go away, go away

Why can’t it all stay the same

We fight the flow and refuse to go

We resist, it persist

So, we hide in our bottles, in our weed, and our bed

But, still it haunts us; tied up in our head

There’s nowhere to run, and nowhere to be’

Except where there’s movement

Take it from me

I fought it year after year

and blamed every tear

I gave it my power, but it spit it back out

That’s not the point it screamed

You must stop the doubt

It’s the fear that is evil and holding you down

It’s the fear that you’re fighting

Stop! Don’t drown!

It’s okay to change

You must and you will

Change is not the enemy

And movement is here

It’s here to rock you to sleep

And sing while you weep

It’s taking you closer to all that you seek

Stop struggling, stop crying

You’re really not dying

You’re just changing, and that’s not a bad thing

Be the butterfly, the flower

Be the man made tower

Go higher and higher

Fly far, far away

The point isn't security or staying in place

The point is adventure not winning a race

The point is to move, and live in today

Movement is the point

Movement is the way
