What I'd Rather Not Remember

Um? Cheaters suck. (Written April 9, 2016)

I don't own this image.

I still see the day you left,

Stuck in my head, can’t forget

Your icy words that left me dead

inside and the tears I shed

For you who I’d given everything.

If I was queen, I made you my king

Guess that didn’t mean anything.

Did anything mean anything?

Words you said that sounded so sweet,

Just to hide that you’re a deadbeat,

You cheat, you play, you laugh, you flirt, you say you loved me? Take a seat,

Cause now, I’m done with all this heat,

You’re not discreet,

You’re just a cheat,

You want me to forgive you, well now that would be a feat.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

Made me feel nonexistent

I gave you me and you set me free,

grade F for your commitment,

We had bliss,

But you broke this,

All the signs that I just dismissed

Excuse if I won't reminisce

How you ripped my heart into small strips

Never really cared about me

I just believed too hard in “we”

I tried to lie, said it was fine,

But I was just too blind to see,

Just thought maybe we would last,

you’d be my future, not my past,

I was just so wrong, all the pain prolonged

I let you hurt me so bad,

But I should thank you,

No, really, thank you

Now I know who to give my trust to

Who is gonna be true

Gonna carry me through

And do all you never could do

As for you, I wish the best of luck

Kidding, you should know that you really suck

And the only phrase I have left for you

Ends with "you" and starts with “fuck".
