What Do You Know

Saving thought

A stainless steel tongue

Etches pain across my mind and heart

Forcing me to push my body beyond those wounds

My natural instinct to distract the imaginary scars with the physical torture

My body cries out with words I cannot exclaim

Only I can listen because no one hears

They choose to when they feel like it

It's like inviting someone inside your mind for a moment and they can't understand

So they disregard your sanity because it's too sane

And it drives you insane because they don't understand

Just one is good enough just one, who sees the things that echoes through your mind

the scattered pieces of paper that fly by in the raging wind

This is not just one message

It's many

Like a collage of pictures

You are only going to look at the ones that make sense to you

But it's okay.
