What do you do?

When you have no hope for tomorrow

Because you don’t expect anything new

Because it has been the same way for so long

And you wonder if it will ever change

You wonder if karma is getting revenge

For all of the bad things you’ve done

But if that were true

Everyone would be in the same boat as you

What do you do?

When it feels like your life is continuously falling a part

When you feel like someone has your happiness held hostage

And it’s as if it will never escape

When every single thing you’ve tried to do to feel okay

Has failed

When you don’t have any peace of mind

You don’t look forward to anything

In fear of returning back to that same hopeless place

You hate it there so much

The weather is always bad

The skies are never sunny

Where is the exit?

Surely, it can’t last for too much longer

You want to change it

But you don’t know how

You want to feel better

But it just seems impossible

And you wonder if you were meant to feel this way forever

No one understands what’s going on

They feel sorry for you

Yet, they also pull the very strings that kill you

You don’t know whether to scream or cry

So you just sit in silence

You feel as if you lost yourself

And you don’t even know where to begin looking

Everyone goes through things

But you wouldn’t wish this on anyone

What do you have left?

When you’ve lost everything

And you only have yourself

To comfort you

You want to keep pushing

But it just feels so painful

What do you do?

When you can’t even think straight

You feel so confused

When you don’t even know the questions to ask

So you most definitely don’t know the answers
