What Candy Would I Be?

Picking a piece of candy is easy, but what would represent me?

If I had to pick a candy

That describes who I am to an

Absolute T…

I’d choose Andes Mints.

“Why choose a mint Jessie?”

Well Let me tell you friends

I am sweet on the outside,

And positively sharp on the inside.

I’m not exactly sure if sharp

Is the correct word to describe

The taste of mint,

But when you have a mint for the first time,

It definitely is a sharp flavor.

The bitter-sweet chocolate describes

Who I am without any troubles.

While I consider myself kind and sweet,

I know I can be bitter and petty.

I mean can you really blame me?

The amount of times someone’s picked me up,

And me thinking that they actually want me-

But then just put me back down like nothing…

It’s astounding.

The sharpness of the mint

Is how I like to look at my wit.

And the coolness it sweeps across

The tongue,

Is how I like to look at my attitude.

Like a river going through

The andes (mint) valley,

I try to go with the flow

And withstand what life throws.

Sometimes, though, I melt away.

But to those who appreciate

My sharp sweet nature,

Who take me by their side,

And accept my stature.

They will be the reason I stand tall.

So yes my friends,

I am most certainly

An Andes mint-

Which by the way…

Is also my favorite candy.
