What a child sees... and knows.
The emperor has no clothes on, now.
But who cares? As long as trinkets they cast
No one but a young child has the know how
To speak out against lies and request mast.
Everyone can see that he is naked,
Yet there’s no one about to call him out.
Is it fear like a black mamba that snaked?
It makes it seem like the adults are louts.
Instead of appeasing and just scraping,
Individuals should employ their voice.
To bridge the chasm that has been gaping.
A small child can go forth to make that choice.
He may not be able to vote, but he
Can inspire the grown-ups to be free.
