We’re Outside Now
collection of poems revolved around nature
His Garden
you talked so highly of her
she was the tallest flower in the garden
her petals were the first to bloom
she was the most vibrant color of them all
she was the only one you ever saw
would i ever compare to her
how could i
you spent years fascinated over her
there were many other flowers in the garden
yet you chose to only water her
how did i come into place
she is still around but not the same
her stem now moves with the wind
her new found companion
did she leave you or did you finally decide
to set yourself free
and try to love a flower more like me
will you ever love my yellow petals the way
you so deeply loved her crimson ones?
i cannot compare to her
you tell me i am special
that you want to put your focus on me
but how could you
when she will always be the center of your garden
