Poems like these come to me when I am drawing. I observe what I am drawing, and what is going through my mind as I draw it. Most of the time my mind is blank until the drawing is discernable, and the story comes out of me and pours out like a waterfall. These poems and drawings reflect elements of my subconscious.
November baby,
like an ultrasound,
I see you in blacks, whites, and greys.
Struggling to find completion
Searching…
eyes wide shut
escaping
Are you fully open?
or slightly ajar?
asleep?
or awake?
bursting?
or blooming?
