Weeping Willow

And She Wept

A weeping Willow...

Bound by chains

My soul is your slave

My body, the crime scene

My mind on replay

Sorrow fills my veins

There's nothing left to save

I’ll never be clean

I'm beginning to decay

I am at the mercy of your reins

Why couldn't you just behave?

Your mission was to demean

I will never be okay.

My lifeless body is all that remains

I’ve never had to be so brave

You had no right, I was never a lien

I was the target, you were the prey

Your dirty paws left permanent stains

Marked by the beast, and sent to my grave

For everyone else, you put on a smoke screen

But I know who you really are… and who you portray
