Weeds

In Our Bed

Image does not belong to me.

Every time you walk away

You make it easier to let you leave

You sow a seed of weeds

To grow in our bed

Force images of doubt

To conflict in our heads

A distance to widen between us

Even lying skin to skin

Once was a time of unknowing

Who’s skin I was in

What's worse

you let us lie in your sin

and what hurts

is you don’t trust the care that you’re in

Every time you leave

It’s seems easy for you to walk away

With silence I beg you to stay

Complex in that way

You don’t notice it anyway

Nor the creases

Nor the cracks

How more visible could they be

How many more screams

Until you feel my soul leave

Until you stop her

Until I bleed out

What’s worse is all the doubts

All the thought I wear

That go unnoticed

It’s hard to believe you chose this

What hurts is

I don’t trust the care that I’m in

heartbreak
