Weather

A Poem

They kissed as the sun bloomed across the pale sky, and held each other like they were drowning and the other could save them.

The wind howled and thunder roared. The window quaked and threw them apart.

The hands drifted back together, grasped and held steady the pale white fingers.

The love lit a fire, which was burning and yearning just for the gaze of another.

The rain dripped for hours, while the room grew warm with the breaths of each other wrapping together under the blankets.

She ran her fingers through her hair, and whispered, " I love you."

Just a moment together alone together, in with the weather.

They know they can't be together forever, the weather protects them from pain.

Thanks for the rain.
