It paints a picture of one's soul

It takes control of your being

Choose well your path to show

Money is the curse we all fall into

for many the ultimate goal

take care where this can lead

It can taint your being and your soul

Love is true but be aware

The folly of blind submission

One day you’ll wake

And wonder at your predicament

Material gain feels great

But be aware of drowning

Take more time to window shop

And less time in the gathering

Power is like an opiate

A drug we must have at any cost

Many get hurt as we climb

At some point we become the fallen

Take solace in simple things

That readily come your way

And you will always feel rich

As wealth is close at hand
