We Lose Ourselves

Trying to love ourself

We lose ourselves trying to reach for "better things,"

When we should have been watering the grass where we stood.

Our own actions and choices reflect on how our life will ride out.

We'll tell ourselves things like, "I need to be better, be more patient. I need to make better decisions. I need to spend time with myself."

We tell ourselves these things but do we actually do them? Are we treating these necessities like a verb, or a period that ends a sentence?

Do we take time to reflect on the things that could change the path we once were making for ourselves?

Jumbling past actions and emotions will just restrain you from seeing the future and reaching it. You will bleed on people that didn't cut you, and you will, because we are human.

Getting lost in your own head is an easy thing to do.

Learn from these things and grow. Use these things to love yourself again.

Nothing takes that from you; self love that is.

It has to be placed there first by it's owner with confidence and tranquility.

We lose ourselves in our own bad decisions. We lose ourselves in unforgettable actions. We lose ourselves in insecurities. We lose ourselves in lies. We loose ourselves in our own head, whilst feeling like we're losing everything around us.

That's a time to tell yourself, "I need to be better, and I need to be more patient. I need to make better decisions and spend more time on myself."

Then treat these things like a verb.
