Diversity is like a wooden shelter
It makes you feel safe
Until the Weight of the world
Caves it in
And you’re left wondering
“How does this end?”
Time
An endless quandary
Constantly wondering
What comes next
All you know
Is you’ll be left
Worse off then dead
Pain so intense
It burns like fire
Wilder and wilder
Until it finds the liar
That’s in you, in us all
Willing to let all those we hold near and dear
Crumble and fall
Just to ensure
That we stand tall
Standing above
the gravel and the dirt
Standing above it all,
yet on top of hurt
Blinded by our own desires
Blinded and truly not any higher
Until we open our eyes
We won’t see
We are not bison
About the Creator
Cardinal Rose
I find that there is no better degree of expression for me than words that manage to say nothing, yet everything, all at the same time.
