Waves

Rumble! Crash! Splash!

Splash! Rumble! Crash!

High tide roars,

Over the rough and jagged shoreline.

Up ahead; The irenic, hushed beach;

Blanketed by warm, soft, gritty sand.

A simple metaphor for the future that lie ahead.

The shoreline epitomizes the chaotic, somber, controlled present.

Rumble! Splash! Crash!

Rush...Slam! Suffuse...

Lowtide.

The waves, enoting one's self, recoil to their desolate home.

Unable to ever encompass the serenity of what lay beyond the shore.

Indefinitely stuck in the sinister, ominous ways of the now.
