I am down, down on the ground
He has brought me down on my knees
I feel the concrete and dirt underneath my fingernails
My knees are scraped, my clothes are torn
I have a scratch across the left side of my face
He is laughing with great pride that he has worn me down
He keeps kicking my side as I cry in pain
I need to get up and fight
But he keeps laughing and keeps hitting me
He thinks all of the power belongs to him
Just because he can push me around
But I have had enough, I refuse to take it anymore
I slowly crawl back onto my feet
As he continues to kick and hit me, I stumble a few times
But I manage to straggle on my feet and stare into his eyes
He is still laughing and swinging his fists
I dodge a few fists and kicks and his laughter stops
He realizes that now I have become strong
I will fight him, I will prevail
I will fight back, he will not win
I start fighting back, and he is shocked
He slowly backs away, and wants to run
Now he is he one who is scared because he sees the fire in my eyes
I am ready to finally get back for all of the pain
I have become strong and fierce
I have become my own warrior.
