A Collection of Poetry

Tighten your laces, fix the Velcro, Sorry the fit might be snug, but you're about to go on a ride... in Someone Else's Shoes.

Blue

Dark room,

Blue light on blue face -

Droplets of crystal sadness

One after another, a chase.

Three dots dance,

Vibrations rattle on fragile love -

The storm picks up, shaking

There it is, a shove.

Tumble down,

No more almost no more -

It's all around, numbing

Bring me back, to the shore.

Blue light on empty room.

Don't assume—don't assume—don't assume.

Questions of the Lonely

Do I miss you cause

I'm lonely

Do I need you cause

I'm horny

Do I miss you cause

I love you

Or am I just alone again tonight

Lose Yourself

Dive deep

And find your soul

Below the mess you made

We’re Dying

Lay your heart

In my hands tonight,

So I can see

If I care anymore.

Cause lately my eyes

Have fallen near,

And my heart doesn't know

If it can feel evermore.

And together we cling

To what we should feel.

And together we dine

On what we should want.

But together we live

In what we hopes real.

So please...

Lay your hopes

No where near tonight,

So I can see

If I feel free ashore.

Cause lately my soul

Has begged for more,

And my heart doesn't know

If it can feel anymore.

To Be Sincere

Thrumming waves crash into beaten sand,

A skeleton of beer cans and a plastic heart beating heavily

While hollow legs hang lifelessly over the crashing hopes below.

For what intentions are sincere? Cause when he looks at her

You find a slight disgust in his dead dreary eyes

Where she becomes… less and more than she’s ever wanted,

Cause when he looks at her, he is so sincerely deeply druggedly in love.

But when he Looks…

He is so deeply dreadedly disgusted with anything,

That proved to be sincerely her.

And cold grips on sweaty cans as he growls grueling questions

What intentions are sincere! Cause waves crash through moonlight,

But never disappear.

Because happiness doomed from the first flirty look-

First flirty smile. Prince Charming and Barbie dance,

Around the raindrops that poured down chapped cheeks.

She stared up at him with a pink lipped smile and drunken eyes,

Never more broken—never more determined to be happy,

With him, with sincere love for the young prince

That only looks at her… with a slight disgust.

And crap beer, piss, warm and pungent.

That drains into sewer stomachs and fuels trashed minds.

Where legs sway away to the water below

To escape…

The clouds blocking the beams of moonlit hope

The anger that boils away her empty peace

Where cruelty had slaughtered self worth!

Because,

There was a slight disgust in how he loved her,

In how he saw her.

For she looked sincerely at him knowing

-he- deserved better! Than her crippled brain, and empty smiles.

And what broke her the most,

He didn't seem to want to think otherwise either.
