Poor little thing
In so much pain
Confusing your mind to hatred and rage
You've become your own oppressor now
Forgetting your purpose, the cause, and way
First corrupted by a white mans dream
Now trapped as the role of victim
Thought you were better than that
Thought you were stronger
Didn't I hear you say you come from kings and queens
Well where is your crown
Where is your virtue,
Your courage and wisdom
For rage is not enough to heal your wounds
Hatred is not enough free yourself
Fear is not your ally
Hypocrisy suits you not
Your people need you child
But you're busy being lost and pitiful
Blaming and cursing in the name of truth
But solution and solidarity is what we need
Where are you child
When the war began
You were in your bed plotting revenge
But we needed you on the front lines
We needed you in the background
We needed you and you needed us
But you were busy being distracted by shame
WAKE UP LITTLE ONE
It's time to heal
Can't do it asleep
Can't do it alone
Wake up little one
It's been far too long since you've worn your crown
