Waiting for Them

A Poem

Here I am, waiting for them,

waiting to play this game again.

Waiting to be tricked or treated.

Just waiting to fall for it all again.

Cause all I can do is play into their hand.

Maybe they're out, somewhere out there,

forgetting about me while in someone's bed.

I tried to leave, I tried to forget,

but the worm on the hook is better again.

New face, new lies.

Almost... no. Every single time.

Here I am, waiting for them,

waiting for this game to end.

Some rope and a chair could solve the problem.

Here I am, waiting for them.

Just waiting for my life to end.
