There are elusive secrets
In the coils of her curls
Secrets even she
Hasn't learned yet
They whisper
In some unknown language
She doesn't understand
But
They taste a little
Like
How birthday cake tastes
They feel sort of
Like
Festive confetti dandruff
Settling in strands of hair
They almost look
Like
The rainbows
And mandalas
And flowers
She paints on everything
When she's joyful
And they sound
Eerily
Like
Her favourite song
On vinyl
Turned all the way up
Until the windows shake
And the floor vibrates
And you can feel the music
Moving the air around you
And dancing on your skin
She has confidence now
Violet confidence
And those secrets
Are a little easier to see
When her hair takes
This particular shade
Everything seems clearer now
Other colours, more vibrant
Everything that was once
Washed out and drab
Now shines and sparkles
Even her eyes seem brighter
Her smile, more frequent
She doesn't know
What secrets her hair contains
But they're clearer now
In all her
Violet confidence
And she's happy
Inexplicably
Happy
About the Creator
A. R. Ambrosi
I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!
I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
