Versus

I heard recently that pansexuality

Isn't really a thing

That only bigoted bisexuals

Don't have a love for all

But this isn't true

Pansexuals don't love all

They love some

They can be attracted to all

They reject the gender binary

A pansexual female

Might be attracted

To gay men

Or a trans person

Since they're all

Beautiful and attractive

Pansexuals are attracted

Simply

To sexuality

They are the hedonists

Of the sexual preferences

Lovers of pleasure

In all forms

That lie within the parameters

Of moral acceptability

Meanwhile, a bisexual

Looks at the gender binary

Males and females

Gay relationships

Or straight ones

That doesn't make them bigoted

It makes them aware

Of their own preferences

As we all should be

It saddens me

That there are

Misinformed people

Spouting misinformed

Pseudo-facts

And blatantly ill-informed lies

It saddens me that there is division

In the world of many flags

In the world of pride and unity

In the world where we want equality

But judge one another

Pan versus bi

Bi versus gay

Ace versus straight

Me versus you

Who is gayer than who

Who has it worse

Why do we allow ourselves

To be pitted against one another

By those who wish to destroy us

We have a common enemy

To overcome

That enemy is hate, bigotry, inequality

Why would we use those very weapons

Against each other

We all need to stand together

Now more than ever

Shoulder to shoulder

The rainbow that we are

Every version of the flag

As valid and accurate

As the next

We must stop attacking one another

When we are already attacked

Now more than ever

There is a need for unity
