A written piece about you.

It’s so hard to think right now,

All I can do is use all my energy to stop myself from crying.

Because the last time I saw him,

He’d saved me from such horrible thoughts; myself aching, and dying.

But I couldn’t bring myself to face reality,

Until this person appeared in front of me.

Oh new friend, you’re so real, so delicate, but strong.

I wonder if you know, if you’ve known, you’ve been the good one, all along.

I’m sorry you’re feeling like this,

But I wonder if you know,

How much you’re helping me right now,

How much emotion you’re so ready to show.

You cry, you talk, your voice cracks.

How I want to tell you, please don’t shatter, we all have your back.

It may have been just 20… 30 minutes now,

But I promise, we already love you,

And we hope you love us too.

Love is such a stupid thing, for we give it away to the wrong ones,

But someday, that changes, whether it be a little at a time, or a ton.

Either way, we’ll be there, when you want to give it another try,

But for now, go ahead, get angry, mourn and ask why.

There’s no side of you that isn’t beautiful,

Because you’re a person that’s blooming,

Like a rose that’s shedding its thorns, one by one,

And that’s because this battle is something you’ve won.

So please don’t be sorry, don’t shy away,

I promise, soon, you’ll be okay.
