Unwavering Love

I feel like our connection is changing

Our bond is rearranging

Here, let me explain

My love for you is unwavering

But I feel we are waning.

You are beginning to suffocate me

I give so much of myself to you

And I’m tired of crying.

I have been trying,

Dying, to help you.

I am drained,

Mentally and physically.

I am losing stability.

This is my time, you had yours.

My time to experience

My time to grow

My time to have fun

I don’t want to become overrun,

Letting you go, one-by-one.

I want to be here for you,

But I have to take care of myself, too.

I can’t let myself deteriorate

And I’m not trying to create a debate

So please don’t become irate.

I don’t know what else to tell you,

I love you and I hope that’s enough

I just hope you love me enough

To realize how much

I’m trying not to give up.
