Unwanted Awakening

I'm awake... but who says I want to be?

When i woke up this morning and watched the sunrise

you were on my mind and of this I'm not surprised

You were my truth when exposed to all the lies

You knew you made me smile when you looked into my eyes

I loved the way we held hands as other people stare

I loved the way you do your thing when you let down your hair

and I loved your beautiful smile, baby girl you had my heart

You're on my mind so much at night, I want my day to start

What I thought was destiny, you couldn't call it luck

I thought that if this was a dream... then NOBODY wake me up!

You see, we were meant to be together, no other way would do

The reason I looked forward to another day, was you

And then, all of a sudden I opened up my eyes

Coming to my senses and trying just to cry

Trying to comprehend all of this misery I'm in

Only to realize that I was dreaming again
