Who am I
To the person I’ve never met?
Am I
Pretty and friendly
Or closed and coy,
Am I
Someone to desire
Or someone to avoid?
Who am I
To the person I’ve never met
I am an empty canvas
A blank page
An unclimbed hill
A cleared off stage.
To them
I am
Untitled
One of many,
A body before them
Untouched.
But I am not
Any of those—
I am open and imaginative
I am full and colored
Elevated, gracious,
Yet undiscovered.
I am overlooked
By the person I’ve never met
Never seen or heard
Or given a chance to share
Who I am.
