She was that someone that others would forget about
She was her own radiant star through all the bad times
She spent her days with her dreams by her side
She spent most days wishing she was somewhere else
Where agony was something she would not feel
Where her heart could heal before being broken again
Where her smile could last more than just a mere moment
Where her tears could surface without hiding
Where her spirit could strive again
A different life, perhaps a different time
One night, one simple wish from her, to above
Crying out to all things big and small
Screaming for happiness, which she is unable to grasp
Something that is unknown, something unknown to her
She doesn't know where to go
She does not know who to turn to
She can feel his reasons tear her apart
She was just trying to hold onto what was left
She tore the pictures off the wall
She spent the night alone, in his bed crying
Where he once laid, where they once had been
Where she felt protected and safe within his arms
Where her smile would last more than a single moment
Where her tears had nowhere to hide
Where her spirit strived within his
A different life in a different time
A time to her that is unknown

Stuck in Place
Amy whistled as she walked through her front yard, looking for any sticks she could pick up and throw into the pile she and her brother were making. They had a big windstorm recently; as such, all the trees in their yard had suffered some damage in some loss of sticks. Or perhaps losing those sticks was a good thing since their trees probably needed to be pruned anyway. Amy wasn't sure.
