Unintended Consequences

i am crying for me

because i am a human being that feels and sees and hears

and believe it or not i can taste and smell your disdain

i deserve to cry for my loss of me

my joyous me

the very me i have intentionally grown into

how sad -- the effects of my environment on my soul

of course i will survive ... but in what condition

for all of our sake, i hope this is for the better

if not, i failed myself so failing you means nothing
