Moving Forward

I won't let them hold me back anymore.

Unvalued

Unrecognized

But yet I still try

There are no rewards for anything

I do not even get a simple thank you

But this is my life

But yet I still try to move forward

Even with the claws grabbing at me

Pulling and ripping my clothes

Trying their best to keep me back

But no I must succeed

I must move forward

It's just hard not looking back

At all the terrible faces

And not falling to my knees

With the pain from every knife plunged

Deeply into my back

But I must let the pain drive me to move forward

They must not hold me back any further
