Two-way Mirror

The Mind of a Narcissist

It must be fun.

The act you play.

You see social media these days lets you portray whatever false pretense you wish to present.

You aren’t like the others right?

You respect women. A feminist even.

Oh how you have yourself fooled.

You only friend women you find attractive.

You keep them close in case you need a bed to slip into.

You like being surrounded with pretty things.

That’s what we are to you right? Things.

Does it make you feel good to have their attention? To use them?

It makes you feel powerful doesn’t it.

To toss them aside when you’ve had your fill.

Because society will tell them to just leave it be.

That pretending like it didn’t happen is being the bigger person.

So you have no need to worry. Who would believe them?

You’re the picture of perfection.

In the eyes of a false world. Skewed by fake news and broken politicians.

You’ve never felt consequences or pain. If you don’t like it, you can simply ignore it.

Pretend like it’s not there. It never happened. You’re untouchable.

Hurt other people?

How could that be when you are the only person in your world.
