Two Sides of the River

2018 Series

Never opened my floodgates to a broken heart

but I’ll save you first

... and you'll count me out.

for my love will always hurt

Two sides of the river

that's what separates us

two sides of the river

it could've belonged to us

Even though,

One kiss at a time...

one touch of mine

silenced your words

paralyzed your body

for you have dreamt of us

every single time.

The good, the bad, that’s who I am

I got one word, one tone

wouldn't change for the ones, I've known

You see,

My heart is cool and collected

that's my second name, I've been heartbroken tamed

For the ones that were in and out

that's my love story, just about

Two sides of the river

that what separates us

two sides of the river

it could've belonged to us

In case you see my real me

lying beside you in the meadow of glee

I'm the one that held a frown

stepped on my ego

so I could tear it all down

Look,

I don’t follow you, you don’t follow me

it’s always been that way

that love, we wanted always to be...

a debt of mine and my true colours inside of me

So...I'll keep my side of the river

that's what separates us

two sides of the river... one on either side

Always two sides of the river...

so my kinda love ... wouldn't ever collide
