Twirling

Love and Movement

After

Twirling around is easy,

So easy,

And I love the way twirling sounds,

Sounds rolling off my tongue,

And I am twirling.

Don't touch me,

I say,

I'd rather twirl,

Spin around in socks.

But I can't resist,

Your lips sliding over mine.

I let out a sigh,

For the flutters in my stomach,

And the lightness in my head.

You take me places,

Make me laugh,

I make you laugh.

And the way you touch me is,

So,

So,

Addictive.

I twirl with you,

Moving around,

And around,

Until you kiss me.

Then I forget about,

Twirl,

Twirl,

Twirling around in my socks.

We twirl together,

Bodies close,

And in sync.

Until you are kissing me,

And I am kissing you.

Forgetting,

Forgetting,

Forgetting.

But,

Who is she,

I ask,

I yell.

But I know,

You know,

That she is yours,

And I never was.

Just a way to pass time,

Until you twirl,

And spin,

Out the door.

I hide away,

With everything bitter,

And blurry with tears.

I hide,

And cry,

Cry.

Until one day,

I decide to get up,

And twirl,

Twirl on my own.
